29.12.2006 - Jabber Server Update

Update to jabberd14 1.6

Matthias installed release candidate version 1.6 of jabberd14 server. It seems to run stable. We are happy to be amongst the first ones to test this release in a production enviroment.

15.07.2004 - Server Move/Downgrade

Our Jabber-Server at syndicon.de moved to Nürnberg

Our Jabber Server and the Gateways to AIM, ICQ, MSN and Yahoo! at syndicon.de have been moved from our USA based Server to the IP Exchange Datacenter in Nürnberg/Germany. This will bring better performance for our users in Germany, as data will not have to travel to USA and back ;.). Matthias also downgraded our Jabberd 2 to Jabberd 1.4 for stability reasons.

28.06.2004 - Yahoo protocol patched on Syndicon

Yahoo Gateway is availiable again

Matthias installed the patched Yahoot Transport today, so the Yahoo gateway is up and working again.

25.06.2004 - Yahoo changes protocol

Yahoo Gateway on Syndicon not availiable.

Yahoo changed there instant messaging protocol again. The yahoo gateway is not availiable since yesterday. The change not only affects syndicon.de but also blocks other third party clients like Trillian. Also see news on Slashdot. We will install a patch as soon as availiable.

Today we launched the english version of our Syndicon website.

03-11-2003 - Public Test Phase started

X-Mas is close... and finally AOL AIM, ICQ, Yahoo and MSN Messenger users can join in celebrating X-Mas time together!

The day has come: we're introducing the Syndicon project to our users. The starting signal is given, and we're anxious to receive your first Feedback on our service.

25-11-2003 - Adoption of Jabberd2

Shortly before the start of the public test phase of Syndicon we updated our Jabber Server.

In a cloak and dagger operation server administrator Matthias updated our Syndicon server to the latest version of Jabberd2 on November 30. The ICQ gateway was adopted to JIT by Lukasz Karwack. If you have already been using our previous ICQ gateway you should reregister it. (Your ICQ buddy list entries will be preserved.)

01-03-2003 - In-house Syndicon Test Phase started

We made it! We are starting the in-house test phase of the messaging service "Syndicon".

With Syndicon we have created a many featured, user-friendly IM service which will be extended and improved step by step. One of our main objectives is to provide an open standard as well as gateways to other IM services like ICQ, MSN, Yahoo and AIM. We're welcoming all users of Syndicon, expecting your feedback and suggestions with anticipation! Our messaging software is available in a first alpha version for download.
